We have been away for over a week now, and I am really starting to settle into the rhythm of training, resting and not being at work. I don't think I realize how busy my life is sometimes until I stop and get away. Unfortunately I haven't quiet sorted o it my sleeping yet, so I keep waking up between 3-4am and dozing until I can't stand being in bed any longer.

I feel I am starting to get a real handle on where I need to be on the river, and I am definitely starting to become more comfortable on the chunky stuff. From here on in. It is just about becoming more constant and tidier with boat placement, and becoming comfortable doing it at speed.
Yesterday was one of our last hard lake session, with that in mind we drove up the mountain to Tignes where the lake is higher than 2000m to give ourselves a right pasting only to be abused and chased away by some irate fisherman. So it was back down the mountain for us... Much slower than I would normally drive due to the threat Oscar sick vomit from the back seat. The like session went well. I am starting to feel like I have some speed and that I am moving the boat well, however I need to be able to transfer that speed onto the river.
Today we are having a small race amongst ourselves, this will be a good blow out however 8ish minutes of the course is relatively easy with the harder stuff in the last 6. So the race plan is to push hard as possible a the top then keep the boat online, straight and do what I can't the bottom. I want to discover today what It will feel like to be pretty blown when I get there. So fun times ahead......
