It has been a funny old day with the river dropping through the morning, then rising furiously throughout the afternoon. I think there is maybe 20m3/min coming down the river than this morning... It is kinda a little crazy. I think tomorrow may be high again, as the hydro dams are trying to lower the levels in the storage dam do the race height is massive. With all the hot weather we have been having a lot of snow melt has occured.
The new appartment building is pretty sweet. We are located in the middle of town, we have a nice pool and lawn area, although I think by the end of the week the lawn will be covered totally by boats, As the Czechs frenhc and the rest of the British team arrive soon.
We are back cooking for ourselves, it is a small concern though that a number of propel have said to me "I hear you are a good cook" " you will have to cook for us one night".. It is fun to be cooking again, and I intend to try out the cuttlefish and peas recipe the chef at the canoe school gave us.. Should also cook a paela since I am in Spain this week too..
We finally "constructed" proper roof racks today, using two pieces of wood and some hard core cable ties, untill Joe we have been using inflatble racks. These are great for two boats. Not so good in the wind or for any more than 2 boats.
Tomorrow is a rest day so I hAve a small boat repair to do on my tail and I think I will end up being the shuttle bunny for the british team.. Oh and the market is actually on tomorrow...
