Well the classic race was today, I ended up finishing 28th. I paddled ok, but for what ever reason I didn't go as fast as I was expecting.. This is a bit of a bugger but what can you do.
We have the teams race tomorrow, where stew, Matt and myself will attempt toddle as fast as we can down the river together and surprise a few often more fancied teams.
Fingers crossed I feel on my game tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteA couple of times I paddle not so good in the individual race and was waiting for the other guys in the teams. History: 1987 Aust team Jeff was 13th Ian 39 and I was 40th?. Team result 5th and we had a bit of a stack on one of the corners. I say go for it and do what the Kiwis did at Bala!!
